I was a new customer. They fit me into their schedule quickly and showed concern for my safety. Everyone was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!

We were towing our travel trailer with our F150 on our way back home to north-central IL from Eagle River, WI, when the water pump on our truck failed and stranded us several miles out of Rhinelander. Roni clearly sympathized with our situation. She helped us arrange for a tow, got our truck looked at later that day, got us a loaner car, and helped find us overnight lodging. She also clearly explained the issue with the needed parts, costs, discounts, and NAPA warranty services. John was the technician who took care of our truck. He had it in the garage and diagnosed within 2.5 hours of being dropped off. His diagnosis was spot on and he had us on our way as good as new in 24 hours. We got connected to Northwoods Auto Techs through AAA and began talking to Roni about what could be done to get us into town and get the truck fixed (we didn't know it was the water pump at the time, just that there was coolant everywhere). Roni helped us arrange for a tow to the shop (which was no small feat because of the travel trailer) by giving us the names of some dependable, local tow companies, got our truck looked at later that day, got us a loaner car from the shop, and helped find us a room for up to two nights (because at the time we didn't know how long it would take to get it repaired). She went way above and beyond any amount of customer service we have experienced from any shop anywhere else ever. She clearly sympathized with how we felt being stuck hundreds of miles from home while trying to juggle all of these things. Roni was truly amazing for her help and did an outstanding job explaining the issue with the water pump, belts, and other components that would need to be repaired or replaced. She was also very clear and up front about costs, discounts, and going over the warranty services since they are part of NAPA. In the end, their estimate was a good one for the work they anticipated, and they even came in under the original cost once the situation was fully assessed. His diagnosis was spot on, even to the extent of being able to salvage one of the belts (it was less than a week old) so it didn't need to be replaced, thus saving us some money. We were also concerned about whether or not the engine was damaged from overheating, but John said he saw no signs of that, and when we drove the truck back to IL we also so no signs of damage, loss or power, concerning sounds, etc. I was also concerned about whether or not there would be any coolant smell from the mess in the engine compartment. Roni assured us that they do their best to wipe everything down. We smelled nothing all the way home (even outside of the truck). Basically, they had us on our way as good as new in 24 hours. That is amazing considering we were an emergency repair that came at them out of nowhere on a Monday morning. Thank you to everyone at Northwoods Auto Techs! From the moment I first walked in the door, they did everything possible to fix my jeep as soon as possible. They kept me will informed of what was going on and what the cost was going to be. Staff is top notch and I high recommend them!

While traveling from Georgia in our Sprinter motorhome the check engine and ABS lights came on. Northwoods Auto Techs was the only shop within 3 hours of Land O Lakes who would work on it. From our first call until payment for their work, Roni, Christina and Dustin were professional, knowledgeable, understanding, helpful and caring. Being 1200 miles from home, they knew the predicament we were in and managed a way to fit us into their loaded schedule and got us up and running again. From making an appointment with Roni, to getting my van serviced and getting a detailed report on what has been done and why and a progress report of cost and work. Down to the detailed report of what upcoming repairs and or routine maintenance needs to be addressed in the future and then paying at the end of it. Roni and your technicians are all amazing! Northwoods Auto was willing to take on a vintage British sport car with difficult service issues that even the OEM won't touch. After specking with Roni ( outstanding customer support) I felt comfortable leaving the car for an inspection of the problems. Northwood was able to ID the problem and with Roni's help was able to track down the correct parts for a complete repair. Even though I don't live close I won't hesitate recommending Northwoods to anyone and I will continue to bring my vintage car back for any and all service needs.

I recently purchased a 94 Mercedes’ sl500 barn find. Was in semi good shape. Took to Roni who turned it over to Dustin. Did all preventive maintenance plus many other shortcomings were fixed. Had hard time finding parts which took extra time…. they did it! Just got it back and is not the hay wagon I gave them. It’s not new but it is more usable then. Before. And I plan on using it.
