I was thankful they had a look at my car and steered me in the right direction but I do not think it fair to try and charge customers such an outstanding price. Definitely not fair. You will pay about 10 times the cost here and they do not even allow you to use your own parts. It's quit ridiculous. I was going to be charged $900 for parts. Hood latches and cable. I was able to track down those parts for less than $100. I think they know what they are doing too well and then in return make it ridiculously expensive. So if you want to waste a large sum of money this is definitely the place.
The price quoted was for parts and labor. As we stand behind all of our work, we source parts out from reputable suppliers. In your case this was from BMW. There are some aftermarket companies out there that make parts, but our experience has shown they may not meet OE standards. As far as supplying your own parts, due to insurance, liability, and warranty consideration, this is a service we do not provide. I am glad you were able to source out some parts and hope that these will work out for you. As with anything, if you have the ability, tools, and knowledge to do your own repairs, you will almost always be able to save money. Because we offer a warranty as well as provide comfort in knowing that we have experienced technicians doing the repair, we have sell any parts we provide at a list price.
